Sangoma Meet will auto adjust based on your internet speed and estimated processing available on your machine.
Average HD (1080p or 720p) session can take between 2-3Mbps, up and down.

You can choose the video quality that is being transmitted to your computer by clicking "Manage Video Quality".
Then select "Low Resolution" in order to reduce the internet bandwidth requirements.

Note: The setting above only tells the server what Video Quality to send to your computer.
Your computer will still be pushing HD video to the server, if other participants choose to receive their Video in HD.
Therefore, all participants must choose choose SD or Low definition in order to reduce bandwidth requirements.

Unsupported browser page or yellow warning box about browser is shown

Sangoma Meet uses the latest WebRTC technologies and not all browsers have same support for WebRTC. For that reason your experience with Sangoma Meet will vary depending on the browser you choose.

We recommend NOT using the following browsers: Mac Safari, Internet Explorer.

  • Solution: use Chrome, or install Sangoma Meet Desktop App on Windows/Mac (coming soon)

Bad audio quality when using my laptop/computer speakers

We recommend using a headset with a microphone for best audio performance, both on mobile and desktop/laptop.

Make sure you are using a quality headset with a microphone. We recommend using USB (if applicable) or Bluetooth headsets.

Computer speakers may generate noise and echo that can be distracting in a large conference with other participants that are also using default computer speakers and mic. Therefore, using a headset will provide a much better audio experience.
