SMG supports SIP natively, therefore it can operate as a standalone VoIP to TDM (SS7 & ISDN) Gateway
SMG exports all SS7 and ISDN parameters via SIP custom X headers. - Call Routing Logic
Extensive and Flexible XML Dialplan can be used to create complex routing scenarios between SIP and TDM. Call routing based on any call parameter present in a TDM call setup message: ISUP,Sigtran*,PRI,BRIAll ISUP/PRI/BRI. Ability to use external applications to build complex routing logic.
... - Operation Administration & Maintenance
SMG is equipped with a powerful CLI that is capable of real time gateway statistics, configuration, and real time on-the-fly re-configuration. The CLI is socket based thus its possible to remotely manage the SMG gateway from a NOC. CLI can be used to enable powerful logging and debugging, control circuits and gather statistics. - Redundancy
SMG SS7 solution uses the Trillium SS7 ISUP/Sigtran* stack. It supports carrier grade 1+1 Active Standby Fault Tolerance. - SS7 Protocols
