2009-04-30: New A500/B700 Firmware
The A500 and B700 firmware has been updated. The firmware fixes a PCI timing issues on some newer servers.
2007-06-04: New E3 Driver / Firmware
The A301 E3 cards are now working. Driver is located here -> wanpipe-3.3.12.11.tgz The new driver comes with new V11 firmware for A301 card. Please upgrade firmware first before trying to connect to the telco. Firmware Upgrade Instructions.
2007-06-04: New T3/E3 Hardware Redesign
The T3/E3 A301 cards have been redesigned based on the new hardware platform. The new cards are 99.9% identical from driver point of view. The new AFT T3/E3 cards are supported by the latest STABLE and BETA release.
2007-06-04: Maxim T1/E1 Based A101d/A102d/A104d Cards
Sangoma has started shipping new A101d, A102d and A104d MAXIM based hardware. The difference is in the T1/E1 framer chip. The new cards use a MAXIM T1/E1 framer. All new hardware is supported by the latest STABLE and BETA release.
2007-4-10: MFC/R2 not working on Old Stable 2.3.4-X drivers
Users using the A101d/A102d/A108d and MFC/R2 need to upgrade to: Latest STABLE release. And select CAS as signalling mode.
2007-01-23: AFT Device Naming
The following table provides a overview of Sangoma AFT products. The fist column is a Marketing Product Name as seen on www.sangoma.com. The second column is a Developers Product Name as shown by a driver hardware probe. Developers can use the following information to prase all versions of Sangoma hardware. The third column is a Product Type, AFT T1/E1 cards are either PMC or Maxim based. The fourth column is Product Status: indicates the lifecycle of an AFT product. The fifth column is a Serial Number/SKU that one can use to identify the card type. Click here for matrix.
2006-11-22: AFT A108dm PCI Express Firmware v28 Update
All AFT A108dm PCI Express cards must be upgraded to Firmware V28. Due to a PCI Express bug in the firmware during heavy operation its possible to experience system instability. Minimum drivers version for A108dm cards is beta12-2.3.4. If you are running older driver, please upgrade to at lease beta12-2.3.4. More Info...
2006-11-01: AFT A102dm Card wth Onboard Echo Canceller
The AFT A102dm card supports Dual T1/E1 ports with on board hardware 1024 tap echo canceler. Supported from beta11-2.3.4 Release.
2006-10-06: A104d Hardware Change (in effect NOW)
From Oct 2006 the A104d cards will contain a hardware change that breaks backward driver compatibility. The echo canceler on new A104d cards will only work with the latest BETA Release: beta9-2.3.4 or higher. The beta9-2.3.4 and above drivers do support all older versions of the cards.
If your project depends on the older drivers (pre beta9-2.3.4) and upgrading is not an option, please request the A104d with 128 Echo Canceler when purchasing a new A104d card from our sales department. Also indicate that you are running a release older than beta9-2.3.4! Note this hardware change only affects the A104d cards WITH Hardware Echo Canceler.
2006-10-06: Upcoming AFT Hardware Changes: Dallas/Maxim Framers
Sangoma is moving towards the use of Dallas/Maxim T1/E1 framers. The AFT series of cards: A102,A104u,A104c,A104sh and A104d are currently going through a hardware re-design. Within six months the old A102,A104u,A104c,A104sh and A104d hardware will be discontinued, and replaced with new A102m, A104m and A104dm. (Note m indicates Maxim framer) The new hardware will look and behave exactly the same as older hardware, without any API or functionality changes. However, old drivers will not be able support the new A102m,A104m,A104dm hardware. Note: The new A108m and A108dm cards are already using Dallas Framers.
2006-10-06: Upcoming AFT A102dm Card wth Onboard Echo Canceller
The AFT A102dm card is currently in its first build cycle and will be available for sale in few weeks. The AFT A102dm card will support Dual T1/E1 ports with on board hardware 1024 tap echo canceler. Available now from beta11-2.3.4 Release
