Woomera Trunk Configuration using FreePBX interface
This  documents describe how to create new Customize Trunk using your FreePBX interface so you can control calls on Woomera trunk using your FreePBX interfaces.

Asterisk + SMG/NetbricksBRI + TDM API + Wanpipe Hardware Drivers
The A500 cards operates under TDM API (not zaptel).  The TDM API is Sangoma open source TDM kernel driver.

Asterisk connects to a Sangoma Media Gateway daemon (SMG) that contains a proprietary certified BRI stack from Netbricks, and SMG connects to TDM API and A500 card.

As AFT series T1/E1 card and Analog card uses Zap channels, A500 BRI card uses woomera to communicate with Asterisk. Therefore, you need to create customize trunk in order to configure your dial-plan using FreePBX.

  1. By this point you have already configured your A500 card using "setup-sangoma" utility
  2. Login to your FreePBX using Firefox or IE
  3. Click  On Trunks , In Add a Trunk Option, select "Add Custom Trunk"

    add custome trunk
  4. Keep "General Setting " and "Outgoing Dial Rules" as you desire
  5. In Outgoing Setting, "custom dial string", you need to write custom string.

    The format is "WOOMERA/{group number}/$OUTNUM$"
For example: A500 BRI card on Trixbox, in TE mode modules use group 2 (This is trunk Setup for Trixbox users)

  6. Once you have finish setting up your custom trunk you will click on Submit Changes, and Apply Configuration Changes on FreePBX interface
  7. Now you will able to select Woomera Trunk in your Add Route- Trunk Sequence section.
