Wanpipe ATM (AAL5) For Linux ATM Stack

    Release: wanpipe-3.1.2.p4.tgz or greater


    1. Untar wanpipe release
              -> tar xvfz wanpipe-3.1.2.p4.tgz
       
    2. Change directory to newly created wanpipe directory
              -> cd wanpipe-3.1.2.p4/

    3. Install wanpipe
        ./Setup install --protocols=DEF-KATM
                |
                ->Select all default.

        *in order to ignore yellow alarms on startup
         add --ignore-t1-yellow option to the ./Setup command line

    4. Configure for Kernel ATM mode.
        The wancfg does not currently contain GUI options for KATM.
        Use the sample file provided in wanpipe source samples/ directory.

        Copy wanpipe1.katm into /etc/wanpipe
                -> cp samples/wanpipe1.katm /etc/wanpipe/wanpipe1.conf

    5. Start wanpipe
                -> wanrouter start wanpipe1

    6. Confirm that wanpipe device exists in kernel atm
                -> cat /proc/net/atm/devices
