Vega SBC Quick Internal Cfg

     

    • Configure locally connected SIP device, IP-PBX / Internal Proxy
    • All calls received from SIP Internal will be routed to SIP External and vice versa
    • All Internal communications will use LAN 1 Interface. 



    Registration Mode

    Registration can be configured as follows:

    • Off
    No registration request will be sent. Calls will be placed directly to a trusted IP address.
    • Gateway
    A single registration request is sent for the whole gateway. Usually used for trunking gateways where the registration is used to keep firewall's open and to act as a heartbeat

    Outbound Proxy Used?


    • No
    There is no outbound proxy in the network so SIP messages will be sent directly to the Proxy / Registrar IP addresses
    • Yes
    Configure the name or IP address of the outbound proxy

    SIP Domain

    • Domain that will be used to populate SIP messages (e.g. sip.sangoma.com).
    • This is not used for routing decisions, messages are sent to Proxy, Outbound Proxy or Registrar IP/Name.
    • If unsure: Default to SIP Server IP/Name set below.


    SIP Server IP/Name

    • IP address to which SIP call signaling and SIP registrations will be sent.
    • It may be specified in either dotted decimal (192.168.0.10) or DNS name format (e.g. sip.sangoma.com).
    • Not required when Outbound Proxy Used is set to Yes.

    Outbound Proxy IP/Name

    • IP address of first hop for SIP call signaling and SIP registrations.
    • It may be specified in either dotted decimal (192.168.0.10) or DNS name format (e.g. sip.sangoma.com).
    • Not required when Outbound Proxy Used is set to No.

    Registration and Authentication ID

    • When Registration Mode is set to Gateway this field should be configured with the appropriate SIP ID.

    Authentication Password

    • When Registration Mode is set to Gateway this field should be configured with the appropriate SIP password. 

    Codecs

    • Choose which codecs the Vega should offer and accept.
    • The Vega offers the codecs in the priority order of 1 to 6.
