SMG Configuration

    Introduction

    The Sangoma Media Gatway configuration and operation is performed via Web GUI.  During the installation process the wanpipe drivers and SMG gateway package were installed and web gui service start.   Therefore, at this point there should be a live web page on http port 8888 on your SMG gateway machine.

    Configuration

    1. Open your browser to SMG gateway machine IP address, and port 8888
      -> http://localhost:8888

      Username: admin
      Password: admin

      IMPORTANT: Please change the password as soon as you login.
                           Password can be changed in Admin::User Management.

    The Main Page contains important statistics relating to Sangoma Media Gateway.

    Statistics:

    • T1/E1/J1 Cards status
    • Gateway Status
    • CPU Usage
    • Number of active calls

      On the left side is the Menu that is split into three parts

    • TDM
      This section configured TDM hardware and signaling, as well as TDM hw status.
    • VoIP
      This section contains SIP statistics and route configuration
    • Admin
      This section contains the file editor, shell cmd execution, and smg cli execution.
      The control panel controls Sangoma Media Gateway: start,stop, restart
      User administration.

      Displays hwprobe information. Click "Edit" to configure the card.
    Displays T1/E1/J1 config options.
    If all cards have same config select "Apply to all ports".

    Displays configuration of all ports. At this point select "Edit" on signaling section to configure the PRI profile. Displays pri profile. By default 2 PRI profiles are created CPE and NET. One can edit each for more detailed options or just select it.  If all ports are configured the same select "Apply to all ports" After signaling profiles are applied. The last column is automatically saved. No change is necessary unless one wants to change group numbers.
